my clutch pedal was always making a squeak when presses and released and there was alot of freeplay before it done anything to the clutch.
what was happening was when ya pressed the pedal over wear in the linkages it was twisting to the left.
if ya pop off the pin holding the cable and use washers to take up the slack it stops most of the twisting motion.
so now no squeak and a much better motion of the clutch. still about 1" of play but much better than before
