Various Issues, help!!!!
#1
Hi all
i have a 2008 (57) berlingo 1.6hdi enterprise. around 5 weeks ago the van started sounding raspy, i got the van home but when i started it the next day it struggled to start, idling high then almost stalling, spitting out black smoke. the garage have had it for a few weeks and have cleaned the exhaust system, checked the timing which is perfect, had an auto electrician out and no electrical faults have shown on the computer. they have put the van back together, and it idles fine, with no black smoke, but when revved it throws out white smoke and wont rev above 2000 rpm. the garage have now said they dont know where to go with it and ive got the van back, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

It may be a fuelling problem , a air leak into the fuel filter/system or blocked fuel supply ?.      White smoke is usually a sign of  air/fuel ratio is wrong, not enough fuel or if trying to start glow plugs not working .
Check the fuel tank breather , it must let air in when taking out fuel Try and get it scanned for trouble codes
