Hi, i've got an issue with my 2001 1.9D Bingo that I'd like your advice on. The clutch (?) squeaks at the bite point when I pull away in 1st or change to 2nd under any load. It's quite a distinctive 'PWEERP' noise from out front.
I'm wondering if this is an indication of a worn out clutch, or something like the release bearing is on its way out.
I'm comfortable working on and around the engine/gearbox, and I have my ex-mechanic father to help me, but I'm still waiting on my Haynes manual to turn up, and I want to make sure that changing the clutch on these things is possible with only a couple of trolley jacks, and some axle stands? I gather from searching around the forums that you have to remove the NS front wheel etc., but is a ramp or lift required to get the gearbox away from the engine?
Thanks
