Only in Italy????

I read sometime ago about a special edition XTR that is available in Italy called the 'XTR Theatre' which is fitted with an overhead DVD player/screen.
I'm not sure if this is fitted at the factory or by Citroen Italia when the car is imported,but I wondered why Citroen don't offer it in other countries.

I know you can have it fitted as an aftermarket accessory.

It even has it's own badge on the rear door too....

I think that UK regulations state that any DVD (or similar) screen may not be positioned so as to be visible to the driver when the vehicle is in motion.

That's absolutely correct,the screen must not be visible to the driver when the vehicle is moving.

The screen here is fitted just above the front seats,so it's only visible from the rear,but also handy for the front seat occupants to bang their head on as well illyme:

There are plenty of aftermarket ones about on eBay etc. and I dare say Hellfords will be able to supply and fit one too,or check out your local car Hi-Fi shop.
As with everything though,you get what you pay for and a unit from Pioneer,JVC,Alpine etc. will give you a superior picture.

We spent two weeks in Tuscany last month and I saw one of these. They look pretty cool. Forgot to take a picture :brickwall: We had rented a car down there and I got the impression that many Italian drivers treat traffic laws as mere suggestions.
