Pulling to the left
#31
It's a pity that PSA denied from torsion bar in a rear suspension. Thanks to God that concept of my M59 belongs to Pierre-Jules Boulanger and it works without any problems during very very long period of time.

I went from driving a 10' to a brand new 15' and straight off the mark I noticed it. Not good enough.

Mine doesn't pull in any direction and doesn't eat tyres.  I don't know how many this affects, but it either does or doesn't.

Some interesting comments about tracking with the driver in.  Being extremely indelicate now - are those with this problem a bit ...er... hunkier than average?  I'm not meaning to offend here, but I guess it needs to be discussed.

Thats absolutely disgusting for a motor company as big as Citroen to produce a vehicle that really is a lottery if you get a decent one or not.My god when this gets out Citroen are going to loose a lot of sales,it was bad enough with the front suspension noise problems but now to learn that the axle is a serious problem with the handling of the car then this needs to be addressed forthwith by the company , they will loose customers customers big time as of course Volkswagon are now doing. In my opinion they need to be taken to task.I'm only glad that i didnt buy one as i'm in the market for that type of vehicle,i can only suggest for those poor people who have purchased one to reject it under the sale of goods and services act.Legalised stealing comes to mind.Shame on you.

Hi doofer,I agree with you it's not universal.I have owned a 2008 VTR,a 2013 Berlingo plus and now own a 2015 XTR.The 08 and 13 plate vehicles both pulled very slightly to the left, both were checked for alignment and found to be within spec.I never followed up on either vehicle because it was as a i say very slight. The XTR i have just had drives without pulling at all in either direction. Both the 08 and 13 plate cars suffered uneven tyre wear on the rears. The 08 tyres being replaced at 17000 miles, the 13 plate had covered 11000 miles when i swapped it and the rear tyres were showing uneven tyre wear.It will be interesting to see if the XTR tyres wear any better as it duos not pull to the left. Now to your other point,"the hunkier than average driver".Well that's me(read fat git),when my previous cars tracking was checked i was not in the vehicle.Only time will tell if the XTR fares any better seeing as it drives true and i am not going on a diet.

Hi Guys........I have just taken delivery of my new Berlingo HDI 100 XTR and did notice that it seem to pull to the left (or was it me ? ) having checked the forum it seems to be an issue..... possibly ....I have yet to take the car on a decent road to prove the issue but will keep people here informed if I feel the car has a fault .....
Having had previous experience of "fighting" manufactures (LJR) when my Freelander 2 caught fire and they claimed there was every possibility that the fire was not started due to a mechanical fault but due to some other reason ......I can understand the frustration of some of the members with attitude of Citroen customer service .....the only way I found to win (ie get a replacement car) is to provide evidence ie take a video , also pay for an independent expert to witness the issue and examine the vehicle......all these things may be more hassle and cost initially but in my experience the manufacture will start to take notice ..and any costs you have can be reclaimed in court if necessary.

I'm of course on the other side of the road so the road camber 'goes the other way' relative to the position of car. So its left me wondering whether the overall design geometry of the car is/was set up for 'driving on the right'.. and is therefore just some 'quirk ' of the car that I've just got to live with
This to me says look at the figure thrown up in the laser tracking....Then replicate/swing the figures in the other direction. Ergo a cure. It will mean you'll veer right when visiting France though.....A cure.
