Parking sensor fault

Hi all

I have factory fitted parking sensors on my 2005 berlingo van but today they have developed a fault, when you select reverse the usual beep occurs but then a longer beep follows and the sensors dont detect what you are reversing into.

Any help is appreciated

Hello Adam welcome to the forum     it could be switch on the gearbox have you checked to see if the reversing light come's  on and stay on when you put it into reverse and check for loose wire on the switch

Got in it tonight and they,ve started working again!

Will check all the connections when it stops raining

Are the sensors clean.
