right where to start ok
first engine will fit in but you need to remove the flywheel fron both engines the 306 engine wont have pickup lugs
iremoved the pickup lugs bolted two flywheels together and drilled to match bit of grinding and fitted lugs to 306 flywheel if you dont do this your ecu will go into sleep mode but if you just swap the flywheel 306 cluch wont fit andthe cluch for that . flywheel is smaller therefor burnnig out quicker
use 306 exhaust maybe a bit of cutting and weldding. gearlinkage should be ok same goes for mounts.
use 306 cluch cable if using 306 gearbox

on my van i used an early 406 1905 td inlet manifold and piped it for front mounted intercooler as standard top mount will get abit hot good mod and looks wicked poking through bumper

need any help drop me a message no probs
good luck

How is the swap performing? Bought myself a multispace 1.9d and interested in this swap too!

How much do you reckon the swap would cost? Engine+labour?

Labour depends on whos doing it and what off the required parts you have for an easy installation if you have the engine gearbox, gear selector clutch cable, shafts gearbox mount and braket battery tray,o/s mount removed from inner wing off 306/zx/xsara and lower engine steady! Spares or repairs car around £250 labour I would have thought about £400 to £500 depending on required work I.e servicing on replacement engine .
