Hello, Here`s my 03 2.0 HDi Berlingo that I bought just before last Xmas.

I`ve had a 306 before so I knew what to expect mechanically. This was a p/x at a small dealer so I knew it had a few faults. The biggest of those are done now; bottom engine mount bush and top suspension strut bearing. The air bag light is on, I`ve had the air bag off and checked the connections, same for under the seat. When I get more time I`ll fix that properly by making a new earth as suggested in another post.
Something thats baffling me a bit, the engine is quite "top noisy" from cold, is that normal? It`s fine once it`s warmed up and there`s no smoke or specific rattles.
Also, I can hear the exhaust from inside at around 1200-1600rpm, is that normal? It`s not terrible, just that I can clearly hear it like a tiny Spitfire inside the back box. I`ve had it to an exhaust centre and they said its fine and looks good enough to last a few years yet. I think the silencer padding is breaking down inside, but I`d like to hear some feedback from you guys with the same car.
Thanks for a great forum!
Mike
