Camping and caravan club specification re Berlingos

I prefer to stealth camp but is it worth joining this type of organisation. Does any one know what they deem a small motorhome. I am working on mine it has leisure battery and purpose made window screens.I prefer to sleep lowdown on the floor rather than make a bed,though it does have small platform addition on the floor.

I don't like large sites but farm sites would suit me. I suppose I could ring and check on with each intended site.

I did check with one site recently with my vehicle and was going to be ok; insurance was mentioned for having a camper van spec. I also think they try to avoid workman turning up in and sleeping in vehicles.

I tow a caravan & I've never bothered to join them. The larger clubs sites are often busy & require advance booking which I don't do. The small club farm sites you mention, known as CLs, certified locations generally don't have toilets/showers only water supply & toilet disposal so only suitable for caravans & larger self contained motorhomes anyway. Some campsites, not just club sites do have odd rules like no signwritten vans & no sleeping in cars but as long as your Berl is kitted out with bed/cooker/curtains you should be ok on any site as a campervan.
