Hiya chaps, new user with a 15 plate Partner here.

[img][Image: DSC_0440_zpsuswfjsid.jpg][/img]

Picked it up yesterday and whilst searching the googlenet I found this forum!

Plans for her for the short term are to fit cruise control, parking sensors and front fogs and DRLs.

Long term is to try and keep it clean on the motorways ha ha.

Anyway, my name is Craig.

I did post in the B9 forum before seeing this Newbie section lol.

Cheers

Hi Craig and welcome to the forum. Glad you happened upon us. That's a tidy looking ride indeed. When you do the fogs if you could post some pics and comments that'd be great. That too is one of my future projects which until now I have put off as I'm not a mechanical whiz.

Thanks chaps :-)

My plans are restricted as this is my works Van and they have only given me the green light on upgrades that can be undone so the fogs, DRLs and parking sensors will involve replacing the bumpers, that type of thing.

3rensho: Thanks, I'm glad there is a place like this as these types of forums are a wealth of knowledge (I am an active member on a 5 series BMW forum and have been for years).I will document my findings with the fogs (as in if the wiring is pre-installed from the factory etc) and share it for anyone else thinking of doing the same. I'm a fitter my trade (to generalise my job lol) so fitting these OEM upgrades should be a doddle.

Ron: Thanks, I thought something similar to that but sadly mine is without them, which is a shame as I drive 100% of the time with at least my sidelights on for better road safety for visibility. I do a lot of motorway miles and it is surprising how many ignorant and oblivious people there are out there behind the wheel, including the big trucks!

Jed Clampit: Cheers fella, always nice to be greeted by friendly people! :-)
