Power Steering Pump

Hi guys lastnight my steering went heavy and notice fluid all over and today I've had a look and they is metal ring half hanging out of the side of steering pump is this quick fix or new pump. I've added picture to show what I mean.

   It looks as if the pressure has blown out the end of the pump , don't know if it can be fixed , probably not .

You should wonder if something in the pump or steering rack/piping caused it.  Haven't had any problems with them myself so don't really know . Sorry

Hi thanks for reply ive handed over to AA and local garage as ive have parts and labour cover with AA so hoping it gets fix soon.
