How do I change the rear pads + oil.
#1
Hi all.

I am looking to change the oil + rear pads on my dads 1.6 petrol XTR Berlingo Multispace and was wondering what tools I will need to do the job.

I appreciate any help Smile.

Many thanks

Sam.

If not confident with any form of car maintenance I wouldn't recommend doing either of these jobs yourself.

Working on brakes without any technical knowledge, what could possibly go wrong?

Please take it to a mechanic.

Get a manual and read it thoroughly, it will tell you what you need to do the job. You don't need any special tools except a winder for the piston if they are discs but rear brakes are always fiddly and complicated. Take pictures to see where things have to go back and keep parts where you can find them not where they can roll down the nearest grate or get kicked under a cupboard. Everybody has to start somewhere so do it properly. When I was a young lad just starting motoring (almost 50 years ago Sad) I went to evening classes to learn how to do servicing and more ambitious projects and then it became like a hobby.
So where does this bit go then ?

Does the Berlingo B9 use a left hand winder?
