Started getting an occasional metallic creaking a when turning to full lock and also pulling to the left when driving (just before MOT time) garage checked out steering/tracking/wheel bearings/track rod ends and found no problems, car passed MOT ok in December.
A couple of weeks ago a front spring broke, its turns out the bearings that the tops of the front springs fit into had both rotted away, the off side one had fallen apart and the near side rotted down to almost nothing. (nothing that looked like it ever was a bearing)
Extra tension this put on spring causing it to break
Car has always pulled to the left ever since I got, now its cured!
