Today's Little Job
#1
Hi All,

Just thought I'd share my little modification to my XTR.

I always felt that the hinge covers on the opening rear window looked really ugly against the white paintwork, so I decided to mask them up in line with the window glass, unclip them and part colour code them.

I have to say that I am really pleased with the results!

I have posted a before and after photo to show you what I mean.

^ Mine too. I meant everything's black at the back in general.  Blush

The tailgate hinges on the white car were prominent in the black plastic with the spoiler fitted ( Not so noticeable on vehicles without the spoiler i would suggest, after all that's how they come ) but the semi colour coding makes a far better overall appearance. A job well done  Wink

I will be painting the black rear number plate lamp cowls white on my new Berlingo van (when it arrives), and the rear bumper. The van will be an L2 van with the "Look Pack", which means that the front bumper, door handles, mirrors, and side rubbing strips will be colour coded white in line with the body colour, but Citroen supply the L2 model with a bog standard black plastic rear bumper! It's bad when owners have to make cosmetic improvements to new vehicles, which should be done at the factory!

I agree CJ. I suppose though that as it is used as a delivery vehicle, Citroen think that the rear bumper will get damaged if it were colour coded with constant loading and unloading, and this may be the reason that they leave them black as standard.

However, I do think they look better colour coded.
