Berlingo newbie checking in
#1
Good morning all.

I've just picked up a 59 plate VTR (yesterday) and thought this could be a good forum to join.

I've been driving an 05 plate ex Post Office Combo for the last 2 years and decided to upgrade to a newer work van, with a view for using it for a bit of camping too.

But as the Berlingo is a car AND a van, and it comes already glazed, it made perfect sense to get one.
Once I've built my own boot jump camping box thingy it'll also be a mini camper and I'll have 3 vehicles in 1, genius!

Upon doing the research I could only find good positive reviews, so although I found myself doing something that I'd never dreamt of, I went and bought a French car! Gulp! Confused

I noticed last night that I have a headlight bulb gone, after reading a thread on here about how awkward and potentially expensive changing a bulb can be, I'm taking it back to the dealer today, his problem not mine.

Anyway, that's about it for now. Smile

Thankyou Ron.

I sure hope I do too. Although the the reviews are very good I feel like I've taken a bit of a gamble with a Citroen, I've always thought of them as heaps of rubbish ready to fall apart! Maybe I'm too influenced by the 70's lol.

I've already noticed that the build quality isn't as good as I'd hoped, the doors 'shake' when closed and sound like tin, and the central cup holders move when I move the handbrake!
I also took it back to the dealer for a new headlight bulb within 24 hrs, I hope that was just a coincedence and that these cars aren't plagued with electrical gremlins?

I've also noticed that the trip computer keeps changing its mind regarding how many miles I have left in the tank, I do appreciate that trip computers in general aren't always accurate so I'm not attributing that to this car alone.

Apart from the first 3 observations I'm really happy with it. Beautiful to drive. Heart

Time will tell I guess.
