Multimedia Upgrade
#1
Hi,
Just thrown up some pic's of my new multimedia system still a work in progress.
Bit of a rat's nest behind the unit thank goodness there's plenty of room behind the climate control module to stow it all, might be tempted to shorten the adaptor leads.
List of what I've installed to date:
Pioneer AVH-X8600BT Head Unit
AVIC-F250 SatNav Module
Pioneer CTSPSA001AE Hard wired remote control interface
Pioneer CA-P-PSA.002 Reverse Sensor Interface
Connects2 CT24PE11 Peugeot 207/307 Dash trim
Ultimate Addons Vehicle Drinks Holder Base

Issues that have cropped up so far.
Holes in the dash are not the same size as the cup holder, had to remove the whole fitting including trim, however the cup insert is clipped into the chrome ring so removed cup and refitted chrome trim then the suction base fits a treat.
Radio back light dim function for some reason is working in reverse. i.e. lights off radio screen dim, lights on radio screen bright. something I need to look into.
The Citroen radio did not switch off when I started the car, the Pioneer does, they don't use the switched 12v from the car not sure why this is yet, the 12v switched supply is feed from the Pioneer hard wired remote control unit. Also cant use the radio if the ignition switch is turned off something else I need to look into.
That's all for now as I'm waiting on some more parts to come in.
Geoff

My main career was electronics so anything electrical doesn't phase me, their are lots of jobs around the house that I wouldn't touch with a 10ft barge pole.
