What engine ?
On 1.9d they were nylon and wore . I chopped mine out when i did the clutch - interestingly the replacements from pug ( went to pug for main shaft seal , linkage and clutch cable) were alloy and a much more solid fit.
They just pop on and off balls.
Was well worth doing and iirc less than 20quid for the pair.

I replaced the long one on my nieces' Partner 2.0hdi. The old one was a bit of a pain to remove but it came off with a bit of brute force and ignorance. The new one just sat in place then pulled down and clicked on easily.
So where does this bit go then ?

Hiya, I have replaced the three rods, BE4R gearbox, but the one to look out for is the larger Ball on the bracket and the bracket wobbles on the spindle. I'm not sure if the bushes can be changed so be prepared to replace the bracket complete. Also the rod that goes back from the gear selector to the bottom of the gearstick is connected to the gearstick with a bolt, this needed to be checked / tightened or replaced. I have put some washers in mine to take up some slack..

are the TOPRAN branded ones ok? It seems that the suggestion is the pack of three linkages but also the arm too with the enormous ball on. I've only looked at mine in dark, but the ball was loose! So not sure is that is a result of something else failing, or not...
