Hi guys.

I have never posted on here before but I have always looked now and again. Just signed up. Theres some cool resources on here thats mega helpful.

I have a huge favour to ask to anyone who can help. I have a mk1 berlingo with a dw8 and delphi fuel pump.

I am desperate for an advance timing solinoid. I can get one online but will have to wait for delivery and i need to be back on the road asap. Have cash waiting for anyone who has one for sale. I have scoured the scapyards and breakers but no one seems to have the part I need. I have cash waiting and will travel anywhere in north england today.

Its the part in the pics. the shiny one above the plug with the green wires, normally has black rubber cover on it. Part number shown in the mirror.

Massive thanks in advance for anyone willing to help!!!!!!

Hi Nathan and welcome.  Have you considered main dealer or parts store as time is of the essence?

Hi guys thanks for replies. originally I thought it was something to do with timing and fuel delivery. After striping off the belt covers and locking everything to check the belt haven't slipped, changing no 1 injector and the advance timing solinoid it still wouldn't run properly. I then decided to get the head off and when I took the exhaust manifold off I found a huge crack in the cylinder block by cylinder no4. The van has served me well for nearly 13 years and I have done 168k happy miles with it. It really is getting doggy, the sills are startin to wrot too so rather than throw more money at the old girl I decided the time has come for her to visit the scrap yard in the sky. Picked up this gem on Tuesday.  It was a long trip to Bolton to get her but she is immaculate for the age and has low miles and runs like a dream. Already taken out the rear seats and fitted a false floor and going to rip out my camper conversion and fit it to the new one tomorrow after tinting the windows.         The blue one is the old girl

I'd take the conversion out carefully if I was going to fit it in another car  Huh Good luck with the new motor
So where does this bit go then ?
