Is the Multispace the modern day Morris Minor Traveller?
#1
Maybe a bit unfair, but I think it is.
So different of course, but so similar in many ways.

Never thought of the comparison before and I used to have a Moggie Minor Van. Don't like the alloys on the picture.

Funny that because I passed one yesterday and thought the same thing. They have the same bubbliness design, spacious interior and are relatively cheap and simple.

Well, seeing as the moggie as we know it didn't come into being until 1956, and stuff like the 2cv and Traction Avant came well before that, I'd imagine Citroen got their quirky ideas rather before the Moggie Traveller appeared.

Not sure where the comparison is coming from - an antiquated 2 door with not so much room in it ( we had one when I was a kid) or a modern 5 door with enormous amounts of space. Berlingo is a modern day 2cv, if any comparisons like that need to be made.

Here's a thought too. .the Citroen DS (the real one) went into production a year BEFORE the Morris Minor Traveller..

And we wonder they the British car industry died out.. we were bringing out antiques while the French were making spac-age stuff...

Better comparison would be with Hillman Husky or Ford Squire, both 1950s-60s van derived cars, which the Traveller wasn't.

Morris Minor and a 2 CV can't see it upside down pram with the wheel's in the wrong place and still with pram suspension the only thing in common is they rusted at the same rate  Wink

The "bits of wood" on the outside of the Morris Traveller actually held it together Big Grin You could take the back off and convert it to a van or a pick up.
So where does this bit go then ?
