I am having trouble locating the glow plug control relay thingy on my 56 plate 1.6 HDI. Any one know where it may be lurking? I think there is a problem with it as I'm only getting about 9v to each glow plug on starting. The Symptoms are excessive smoke on start up that smells of diesel. If I don't touch the accelerator it's worse and the engine really does chug initially. If I give it a bit of throttle it's starts up with a lot less smoke. Each glow plug measures less than 1 ohm resistance so I'm sure the issue is a bit further up the chain.
Cheers

It's a bit of a sod to get to. Bumper off, can't remember if nearside headlight needs out as well though
