Funny Story (Horn wouldn't sound))

So my 2008 (old shape) berlingo was due for its test but the horn wasn't working, as I didn’t' own the van that long and it never worked I went on line to consult the experts on what the problem might be.

It wasn't long before I discovered that this is quite a common problem with these machines and it could be anything from the Comm Unit to a bad earth, etc, etc...

So I tackled into it, removed the air bag and spent ages checking out all the usual suspects and nothing, couldn't figure out what the problem was. Finally I removed the bumper and connected a power feed to the horn directly from the battery, and couldn't believe it, it wasn't working.

I therefore concluded that too much knowledge was dangerous, if I'd tackled into the job without doing any research I'd of started with the horn unit instead of starting at the other end...

Kind of ironic, don't ya think...

LOL, the horn itself is the last thing I would expect in such a situation.

Good news, she passed her test this evening without any problems...
