[Transmission] clutch cable
#1
My clutch pedal has dropped to about two inches off the floor - still driveable but a bit crunchy sometimes. Haven't had a chance to look yet but I'm guessing the cable adjuster is gubbed? Haynes manual makes replacement sound straightforward but thought I would check here for any tips. Is oem cable the best bet?
It's a 2002 2.0hdi.

OK job done. Bought a genuine Citroen one from AEP. Most difficult bit was threading it through the hole in the bulkhead - I could do with growing a longer thinner arm. All connected up and I tried it and it was just the same as before. Sat there pumping the pedal wondering what I had done wrong and eventually it self-adjusts but only after several minutes. Now smoother than it has ever been.
