XTR trip computer
#1
After 14 years of Xantia ownership I've recently moved to an '09 XTR. When acquired the computer display showed number of miles worth of fuel remaining. Having played around with the display (as you do!) I cannot get back to that mode. At one point the display stuck at 6214 miles and didn't change (I noticed someone else had this happen).
The front/rear fog light switch is u/s; is this switch part of a multi-function unit and is it a simple 'cowl off, unscrew and replace job'?
Forgive me if I'm covering old ground - I tried 'trip computer' in search re my first query but had no luck.

Great car, though!

Does a short press of the button on the end of the wiper stalk change anything in the central display?

A short press did nothing, however a longer press and, hey presto, things stared happening! The handbook is not exactly informative on the trip computer - no mention of the wiper stalk button in the audio/display section.
Thanks, Colin

Glad you've got it sorted Chris.

That's 10,000 km the maximum it can do. Reset by holding in the stalk button.

For foglights, turn middle section of stalk forward once for fronts and twice for rears. Back to turn off.

What a dumbo! I was expecting the foglight switch to have a detectable 'click' when turned. Even more stupid was not to get out of the car to check the lights OR, would you believe, fail to check the indicator icons on the dash display.
So, trip and fogs sorted, thanks.

I am now going to lay down in a darkened room for quite a while.

I have a '37 Vauxhall and am on the VOC forum, I just wish it was as active as this one!
