How do I set the clock in my CITROEN BERLINGO?
Help, I have no idea how to set the time in my berlingo.
I have the pre face lift model X plate so she doesn't have the multifunction display on the dash.

I had a peugeot partner in 1997 and i think it is the small knob at the left hand side inside the instrument cluster the other one is for setting the trip conter to 0. Twist the clock knob left or right to set the time

I'm not scure 1997 is a looooong time agoe.

This is quite a tedious job, and quite why Citroen made like this is beyond me. Anyway....

Turn key in the ignition to the set position before firing her up - so all the dash lights are on.

Wait for the lcd screen to clear to 'normal' (if yours does what ours does and cycles through some basic diagnostic type checks before displaying the mileage, etc).

There are two black knobs sticking out of the speedo 'screen in front of you

Press and hold one of them* and after a few seconds the time (hours) on the display will start to flash.

You can then press the other one to alter the flashing digit.

Once that one is set, press the first knob again and the second pair of digits (minutes) will flash. Again, press the other knob and these will change.

Once at what it should be, you need to press the first button again to set the time.

You could try starting the car at that point but it doesn't always save the time you've just set up....


* - you'll notice I am not saying which one, this is because I cannot remember and I'm at work and the car is 100 miles away!

Trial and error is needed, but the above are the basic principles to use.

Ignition on, let the display settle down if it needs to, press your knobs in an organised way and you should end up working out how to get the result you're after!

Best way I find is to take live cabel off the battery and replace at 1:00 pm.
No messing around.

Hi James,
The instructions worked a treat and did exactly what you said it would do! Recently new Berlingo user. 51 plate. So, at least I've got the correct time in front of me instead of 4 hours and 6 minutes out!
