Radio eco-mode
#1
I regularly drop the kids at various 'activities' then have to wait for them. I listen to the radio for 20 minutes then it goes into eco-mode and switches itself off. The only way I can continue listening is to have the engine running, what's eco about that!!
Is there any way of de-activating this mode?
Thanks

I don't think its possible to disable but I think Lexia can be used to adjust the time.

I looked at this when I first got my 2010 model and using a Lexia there is no option to disable or adjust the time I'm afraid

On my 2010 model, I have to start the engine to turn off ECO Mode

This is what my user manual says

"After the engine has stopped, with the key in the ignition position, certain functions (windreen wiper, electric windows, courtesy lights, audio equipment, etc.) can only be used for a cumulative duration of thirty minutes, to prevent discharge of battery.

Once the thirty minutes are over, the active functions are put on standby and the battery warning light flashes accompanied by a message on the display.

To resume the use of these functions immediately, start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.

The time available will then be double the time for which the engine was left running. However, this time will always be between five and thirty minutes"

If you replace radio with after
market unit you can run your battery down to flat .. If your that way inclined...

Be careful putting an after market radio in. My son's Citroen had a DAB radio fitted by Halfords. When he had to disconnect the battery for some work the clock could not be reset, the MPH was now in KPH and could only be changed with the original headset in place. Be very careful about changing the headset and Halfords are not necessarily the best people to get that information from.
