#1
Hi...was wondering how different hubs where, I have a 1.8 petrol and need a drivers side hub as bearing as gone, it's hard to find a part on ebay as most seem to be diesel.... Is there a guru that knows what fits what? To widen my search..thanks

I don't have access to a press so it easy just to swap the hub

you dont need a press just a socket the size of the bearing just be carefull knocking out the old one ive only ever done fords and they use taper bearings and they are harder to do. new to berlingos but googled to see what type they where you would need circlip plyers torque wrench to do the job

It's not as easy as that...you need a press to get the spindle out of the bearing and get it out of the hub...they are flush fit bearings and need 16 ton of pressure to remove...I have a mate who as a ten ton press and it won't touch them....the hub nut is a real swine to get off as well...6 foot pole and lots of heat...
I have done one side allready with a swap out of a hub of a 1.8 petrol but there are not a lot of hubs around for them....hence wondering why others would fit...
