I would have been decent of you to post a follow up on your other threads letting the many people who advised you that the problem was fixed following blanking the EGR valve !

I'm having hard time believing that you can blank off EGR on your engine model
without changing maps in ECU firmware.

On the 2007 1.6 hdi (92 HP) you can - it will throw a P0401 fault at times but there's no 'limp home' mode so not a problem for us.

On other forums somebody is always asking for EGR off in ECU firmware for
1.6 HDI 110. Also for 1.6 HDI 90.
I must confess that this is first time I hear that 1.6 HDI 92 does not need EGR off
in firmware. Only blanking is needed.
Thank you for that info. It would be good , for future reference, If you can write your ECU number and model.
Best regards,
brajomobil

Mine is the 1.6HDI 75 with blanked ERG for last 5 year, let me get this straight so you can't blank the EGR on the 90bhp or 110bhp without getting it deleted from the engine management?

I have not finished my diagnosis yet. The blanking worked for 3 days 300+ miles. The fault has returned but I think it could have been the blank that I installed failed. It was the cardboard type. So until I get time to strip it all down again to check I'm not sure if it is the solution or not. Once I am satisfied with a repair etc I will update all threads.
