Remove the slot under the radio ?

I'd like to remove the slot under the radio to try fitting a panel to hold 3 , 52 mm gauges . Can anyone tell me how to get the slot out of the dash ?

there are two four clips, two at the top, two at the bottom, prise them down slightly and the tray pulls forward and out.

Put your hand inside it and pull , comes out easy.
