7 inch touchscreen

Mine played silly buggers the first week I had the van - ever since (I'm tempting fate now) it's been no problem.

Hi all, I've also had the same problem with my 7" touchscreen re-booting for no apparent reason. Its a Multispace Diesel Automatic, which I purchased new last August.  The strange thing was that it would be fine for days, or even weeks, then it would re-boot continuously for 2 or 3 days, at regular intervals of EXACTLY 3 MINUTES 56 SECONDS !!!!. Obviously a software issue.  Not randomly, like you would expect with a loose connection, etc.   Extremely annoying!
I had the car into the Citroen dealer twice, but of course it behaved itself, so no fault found at that stage. They reset the software on both occasions.  They did hint that I was not the only one to report this!   However, the fault re-appeared one day so I drove to the dealer while the fault was present and got their whiz-kid "Software diagnostics expert" to come outside and witness it.  No matter what he did, he could not stop it re-booting as I described.   After consultations at higher levels the outcome was that the software was updated to the latest issue, and it has been fine so far.   The local dealership downloaded a completely new update, on to a USB flash drive, , ( 22nd December 2015 ), in 3 parts, from Citroen UK / factory which took about an hour.  This USB drive was then plugged into the USB socket under the touch screen. i.e. the socket you would plug in your MP3 USB music.   This program fully updated the touchscreen software. It took about an hour.  A bit like updating the Android software in your smartphone.  It has been perfect ever since.
I think that this latest software update was only issued towards the end of December, so I would recommend getting your touchscreen software updated to this latest issue. Your Citroen dealer will have to download it to a USB drive as above. (if they haven't already done that by now).
Best wishes for 2016.

I had Citroen come and pick up my Enterprise and they said they have done a software update.
That was on the 30th December. It's not rebooted again yet but it had gone a few days between bouts of "naughtiness" before so my fingers are still crossed.

As a bonus, when they brought the 2 week old van back, they also included a sopping wet drivers door trim with the can holder half full of someones orange drink which had also run right down into the large storage area.

When I phoned the driver to get him back, he denied doing it yet proceeded to mop it out with his fleece.

I am looking forward to the follow up call.

Any differences in the software that's obvious or is the format of the platform the same?

No, it looks and feels as awful as before.

I haven't used it enough before hand really to spot anything but from what I have tried I cannot see any differences.

No obvious difference to the screen, but no more repeatedly re-booting so far, since the 22nd of December, so its looking hopeful!
I would say that the 7" touch screen is not user friendly. Its difficult to make sense of the screen navigation menus.  Its far too bright at night, and if you navigate to "switch off screen" you no longer have the clock or the outside temperature reading.
Another annoying thing is that you can't listen to the radio (while waiting outside Tesco, or the railway station, etc) without having the ignition switched on. There's no "Auxiliaries only" position, or a 30min time-out auxiliary button. That must surely have been an oversight in the design!!??   I was secretly hoping that the software update would address these issues. (ie tick a box to 'enable' it?). Might it be possible to 'configure' the software to use the 'Menu' button, for example, to allow 30 mins of radio!?.......Citroen?
(And of course no CD player!).
However, one thing at a time I suppose!....

Jim. If you want to turn the screen down for night time you can do it via the settings menu on the touchscreen and you can dim it even more by pressing the button below the speedo until the whole dash is dimmed enough. I've managed to get mine just right with regards to driving in the dark so I can see the dash lights perfectly and the touchscreen gives no glare.

Oh with regards the no CD player, I thought that to at first then realised its 2016 and we put our entire cd collection on our phones or usb sticks now apparently! However you can buy an external cd drive on eBay for a few quid and plug it in via the USB port.

What is annoying (apart from missing stuff on the radio and making a complete mockery of the news) is that if I have the volume down, it starts up again with the volume up!

If I am playing music from a USB stick, I will hear it stutter a couple of times just prior to the screen going off and it restarting.

I have not noticed any pattern to it yet.
I have the same problem resetting every few miles, also I get a burning smell just after starting the engine that only last a few minutes the goes away, I wonder if it could be related ?

Had my one in with Peugeot today, so fingers crossed that this rebooting issue is fixed.
