B9 Central locking
#1
Hi All any one have a wiring diagram for the central locking ?
I'm trying to add a after market remote to lock and um lock but having a few issues a diagram would help sought them.

I can get it to work until the door switch is connected it stops the new remote from working looks like I need to add some clever bits
but with out knowing how the original key switch works I'm guessing Smile

its 59 reg VT model

cheers Jake

Hi All fixed   Wink
I've added a relay to disconnect the wiring to the original door switch and its all OK now. I had to modify the aftermarket control unit I can supply details if needed but you need to be handy with a soldering iron.....

Hi Jake, yes please, would you be so kind to give me more details. I own a 2009 B9, were the central locking mechanism can be operated on both front doors, however it didnt come with a remote but only the keys. In the German forum, I speculated on how it would be possible to fit an aftermarket remote, I even bought one, but rever actually tried to fit it.

Greyand pink wires need to be disconnected, right? How did you do it and what did you actually do? And where woud find those wires..
The remote is this one:

Hi there I'll look out my notes and see exactly what I did,  I suspect there is a better way but with out any info on the wiring this is what I did, skills?
As I recall  the additional relay disconnected the door switch when either of the add on units relays was activated  i used a diode from each relay to my add on ...  it seems that the switch on the lock grounds both the lock /unlock control lines, so the car doesn't see the relay closures from the add on unit.

Your electronics / soldering 'kills are the key to how easy this is to do

I hope that helps for now _ Idd take some pics but the engine is being replaces back at the dealer - under guarantee :Smile......
