key woes/ advice please

tonight as I locked my fuel cap at the service station, my key came apart in my hand, (6 bits ) i couldnt put ity back together there and then so I went home and got the spare.  This is the second time its happened (the 1st was within 6 months of purchase, and I persuaded the garage as a goodwill gesture to fix it (cost shared by garage and citreon)).  Although the warranty  has 2 more months to run im sure it wont be covered.   I have put it back together (probably wrongly) as the flip has lost its spring, but it still works.  I dont seem to have enough fingers to get iot sorted.  The 2nd key is not much better and a bit wobberly. 

Do you have any advice as to what to replace it with, or where to send it etc (2 button flip key)

If you have a look on ebay there are companies that can repair your key, or do a search for an auto locksmith in your area. If you take it to them you cut out the call out charge and they may be able to repair your key or if not repairable supply a new one. Why is it breaking in the fuel cap is it stiff or something, if its under warranty go back to the dealerand show them the problem and stand your ground.

By way of an update.

went to  the shoe repairer guy in Tescoes.  Cost £30 for a new cut key and battery
well pleased
