[Tires & Wheels] Best wet weather tyres
#1
My s/h multispace came fitted with Michelin Energy Saver 205/65 tyres they're getting towards the end of their life and I'm thinking about what to replace them with, they don't feel too great in the wet .  Energy saving, road noise, long life and even price are not high on my list but wet weather grip is! (it rains a lot here in NI) Should I use winter tyres all year? Can anyone recommend tyres that they have actually used?  Cool

I've been running Avon ZV5 tyres since the original Michelins wore out. I can't say they are specific rain tyres but having used them through two winters I am pleased with the grip and handling.

I did have problems in the snow with traction but hopefully I will be armed with snow socks next time.

I've heard good things about Michelin "CrossClimate" tyres, and may try some the next time I buy tyres. They are supposedly very quiet running, and are supposed to have excellent grip in Winter AND in Summer (hence the name CrossClimate).
