[Transmission] Gear selector bush ?

Hi all , on my way home yesterday my gearbox selector failed ! . the three linkages seem OK but the selector ball jumps out of the socket on the gear change bar underneath. Has anyone had this happen and did a replacement selector with the bush attached remedy the problem or do I need the whole assembly ? , also do gsf or eurospare do the parts I require ? If the rod ball joints are all good, check the pivot fixing for the ball itself

Hi col , the pivot is a bit loose? Play up and down and slight side movement ? Would this cause the problem ? . thanks for your help mate

If there is enough movement in the pivot for the ball part of the linkage, then yes, it could seperate. I have seen it once before.
