Hi all , on my way home yesterday my gearbox selector failed ! . the three linkages seem OK but the selector ball jumps out of the socket on the gear change bar underneath. Has anyone had this happen and did a replacement selector with the bush attached remedy the problem or do I need the whole assembly ? , also do gsf or eurospare do the parts I require ? Thanks in advance ,Mick

If the rod ball joints are all good, check the pivot fixing for the ball itself

If there is enough movement in the pivot for the ball part of the linkage, then yes, it could seperate. I have seen it once before.
