Here's the thing, ive a 02 Multispace,i havnt a clue if its a Mk 1 or a Mk 2 but its a general question about front shock absorbers so it doesnt matter..I shall be replacing my front struts shortly and have found a pair on ebay.Has anybody had any experience with Monroe shocks .They are reasonably priced but are they cheap and nasty.Taking into account i normally would go middle of the road, price wise, does anybody have any suggestions/advice.Thankyou.

Hi Graham easiest way to work out which you have, mk1 berlingos have long thin headlights and the mk2 has bigger squarish headlights. Stick your reg in europarts and see what it model it says. I haven't brought Monroe shocks for a few years but the were always good stuff and well made.

You have a very clean mk1 by the look of it and I would think one of the last ones made before the change over. Now you will be out driving playing spot the the mk1 and mk2 and impressing the missus, but you will have to shout to her if shes strapped to the roof.

Thanks for That Ron.Ive taken a look at GSF car parts and they only sell Amtex gas shocks at over £51 each side i think its a little expensive and i would like to fit oil shocks as per the original anyway.Thank you for what you say about my car.Ive owned it for 6 years so im only the second owner. It gets serviced every 3000 miles [ twice a year ] and has covered only 55k miles to date. Its carefully cleaned once a week and waxed with pure Carnuba every other week.Although a very basic car its definitely got a personality and doesnt nag or answer back !! I have to say also its far more comfortable than my Merc.
