Door open light stays on, interior lights don't work on door switches?
#1
As above- when driving the "door open" light stays on when driving (all doors thoroughly shut!).

The interior lights work on the switches but not when you open doors.

The radio also stays on when you remove key for about 1min?

Car is 2000 Berlingo- does this have the CANBUS system?

Have taken out both door switches and neither has a wire connected to them, and I can't find it in the alcove either?

Proper weird!

My potential solution is run new wire from the lights to the switches so they work, but that won't turn the warning light off?

Anyone know what colour the wires to the door switches should be?

Thanks!

I would bet the wire has come off the switch and is in the bottom of the panel.
Are we there yet????? Huh

That would be logical. Any idea what colour wires I'm looking for?

No sorry try a coat hanger wire bent with a little hook bent on the end and fish around through the switch hole it can only have fallen down to the bottom of the panel.

Get hold of a decent endoscope/inspection camera. The good kits comes with a hook that can be attached to the camera. Makes fishing for wires much easier...

Great will give that a go! Does anyone else's radio stay on when ignition switched off? I wondered if it was the BSI waiting for the door to open and shut before turning off radio?

Or is it not that smart? According to Haynes the BSI was fitted from 2001 onwards, but mine is a 2000 so shouldn't have it?

my radio stays on after ignition off for a minute or so, think that's normal.

It doesn't go by the colour of the wires , you'll find a number on it which refers to where it goes. unfortunately I don't know the number that it should be.

That's great thanks! Where did you find that? Haynes I found was useless- the wiring diagrams for the Berlingo don't cover everything but the Peugeot ones do- I assume they're the same.

It is on this forum , posted by Rustcrats , he is very good for wiring problems though I haven't seen any posts from him for a while. I think Peugeot and Citron models should be the same, their just different front and badges.
