Is this a common fault?
#1
Hi Guys

I have a 1.9D (Non Turbo) 2002

It has a stiff throttle pedal almost feels unresponsive. I have seen other posts on here, is this just a common thing with these that there isnt a specific fault?

Or is it linked to a problem. I did see a re routing cable post but wondered if there was an actual fault that can be fixed or is it just one of those things

Thanks!

It is just one of those things ..

A new cable can help but isn't guaranteed to sort it ...

I found that lube and re routing works well ..
if you do change the cable I'd say to re route as well, cables like the smoothest least tortuous route or to put it another way the straighter the better / least bends the better...

Presumably the engine responds ok if you rev it from the engine end of the throttle cable ?
