[Transmission] Very sloppy gear stick
#1
2001 Berlingo van. 1.9 diesel
My berlingo van has a very slack feel to the gearstick which although does nothing to affect the gear changing
I find very annoying.
What is the possible cause of this and how easy is it to fix.
If you have any advice to help with this problem
Then please let me know
As I have the weekend off to fix this and a list of other bits on this old duffer

Its probably play and wear in the gear linkage to the box. Its a mix of rods, rose joint ball couplings, there are a few diagrams in threads on here to help you have a search. This is something like what you need but may not be the exact ones

Changing the gearstick rods is easy- just remove the air cleaner first for easy access.
