Again with the tuning boxes!
#1
Hi people.
I am the PROUD new owner of a 2005 Desire 2.0 HDI, and it is a perfect family bus for me. I also play guitar in bands and do a bit of MTB'ing, so the practical nature of the beast is awesome. I have been looking at giving it a light tune, as i live in the lakes and could do with a little more ooomph, especially when carrying gear, and I have been looking at either the Bluespark Pro box, or the Synergy RonBox 1. Has anybody got experience with either of these? I know they arn't comarable wit a proper remap, but as mine has the Siemens ecu, and i don't need the boost all of the time, i was thinking of one of these. I have had a new timing belt and clutch within the last 20,000 miles, and it has been dealer service up until i picked it up.
So, does anybody have any info? Cheers!

Just an update: I have just got a Synergy One box from Tuning Diesels, and so far so good. The throttle response is improved, and power is avaliable from much lower down, with no hesitation. Not noticed much at the top end of the rev range, but 90% of the time i dont push above 3000rpm, so not bothered about top end. All in all, it has made quite a difference to the way she drives, much more grunt.
