fitting new radio cassette to 1.9 multispace forte

Just bought my new/old berlingo yesterday. Disappointed it only has a tape/radio fitted. I tried to fit my kenwood cd player but it didn't speak? to the in car controls and didn't switch off when I switched off the ignition. Any ideas please?

Try a search for more information on wiring the unit to switch off.

You will need a specific adaptor to fit between the vehicle's wiring for the remotes and the head unit. As an example, look here:-

If you want the radio to turn on/off with ignition use a feed wire from the Positive wire to the Cigarette lighter for the switching supply to your head unit.Fit an in line fuse in this wire.
