Hi & welcome.What advantages do you have with LPG?I've never known anybody with one to ask.

Thank you Ron, advantages are lpg is half the price as petrol so works out better mpg, that's about it really! My first berlingo/van, being a 1.4 I feel it's the wrong engine for it as it's a heavy bugger! Struggles on hills, bit apart from that can't complain, 142,300k mileage and no issues.

That's good going. I know that engines with nikasill (sp) liners can't run on lpg despite owners swapping them over to it. Long term the engine will fail generally.

Mate of mine is running a 1.4 Bipper on lpg and loves it. Only downside is the loss of power against running petrol.

Nikasill? There's no loss of power with mine running petrol or lpg, sadly it just doesn't have it in the first place! And it's low geared, sitting at 60mph it's running at 3000rpm.

That's the chap. I know certain fords and certainly certain BMW engines do not last with lpg conversions

I have a friend with a Focus ST170 running lpg for when he's doing one end of the country to another. Nothing but problems! When it's running on 98 octane fuel as it should be, it runs great, 95 ok too.
LPG is another matter, but then this is supposed to be a performance engine.

Interesting, as a vehicle I love it, not "fun" to drive like the old landy is but it's affordable and spacious! Wouldn't mind trying the facelift model though, they look really good.

Don't know what the petrol is like, but my L1 90ps enterprise is great. Had it just over 6 weeks now and just coming up to 4000 miles. Compared to my previous Bipper Professional it's a real joy to drive.

This 1.4 is sluggish, once it's going it's alright just high revving, I think if I get another I'd try the diesel multispace, 58 plate up.

LPG was a " Factory " option so should be ok.
