The reason you get a few different parts there is because Citroën used a few different alternators in the same model car.
It's common to do this so that they don't have to rely on one supplier.

What is the symptoms?

The usual problem tends to be worn brushes or bearings.

Last time I did the same I drove to a local autosparks lifted the bonnet and said I want a diode pack for one of these.

The chap just went and got one off the shelf.

Brushes / diodes / regulator will be a one piece unit and are easy to fit.

Hi

yea i realized this when i had to change my brakes ( theres two different size brake disks, and i bought the wrong ones )

well the battery keeps dying and its quite new..ive charged it back up a few times and its fine for about 8 starts then it dies again, so its got to be the alternator.

looks like im gonna have to take it out to see which one i need

Jayjaybee,
You should really check the charging rate before you change the alternator or parts of, just to make sure the battery is good.

hI BRODFATHER.

well im 99 % sure its the alternator but i do have a multimeter and i suppose it wont hurt just to double check.

ive noticed you can buy just the brushes and bearings for alternators too, not just the full reg pack.

I wish this happened during summer..no garage and its getting cold wet and windy.
