Introduction
#1
Just to say hello,my son has just bought a 2010 xtr for work and European trips. Not a stranger to Citroen or diesel as he previously had a xsara hdi estate(which had a misshap) And before that a 405  1.9 405 peugeot. Both totally reliable cars. Also run a 1989 Sierra  2.3D estate owned for 24 trouble free years.Realise these PSA engines are quite sophisticated and do need regular servicing. So will be changing oil and filter at 6 K mile intervals. So first question the gauz  e filter in turbo oil feed is this a service item?.Car will be doing about 18k miles a year.Thanks.

Hi & welcome. There is a thread on turbo pipe filters but the general consencus is to remove it & keep the oil clean.6,000m change is ideal but don't skimp on oil quality.

Hello Exiger welcome to the forum Smile the gauz is not a service item remove mine two year a go there is a man on here called Lighty has done many turbo's on PSA fit's a oil feed pipe with out the gauz as he said never had one back with a failed turbo you can remove it your self or bye one form Citroen with out it on if you have a 110 ps you will have a fap / dpf on it that make it a bit harder to change the oil feed pipe you have to move the fap / dpf and feed pipe's work to get to the oil feed pipe it will take a little bit longer .
