Drum brake self adjusters

Hi all, Iam currently over hauling my rear drum brakes and have come across a problem. The little tab on the washer (see pic) that goes between the adjusting wheel and the long fork has broken off and obviously no longer locates into the slot on the fork (see pics). I'm having difficulty locating one at the scrappies or elsewhere. Could this just be replaced with a suitably sized washer or missed out altogether? Any help greatly appreciated. The adjuster itself has all been cleaned and is working as it should. Many thanks.

You can get a replacement from a dealer but you have to buy it as a unit last time i looked they were about £50.

Unless you can find a second hand unit im afraid you may not be able to i certainly would no advise fitting the broken one. At the end of the day its brakes so £50 is no big deal.
