More power from a 75 Hdi
#1
Looking for information ... and help of course !

Is it true that the only difference between a 1.6 Hdi 75 engine and and 1.6 92 Hdi engine is the ECU map ??

If so can I assume that a professional remap will be all I need to have done to convert from a 75 to a 92  ??

 Anyone done this here ??

Would getting the map done by a main dealer be possible / a good idea or get it done by some other organisation ??

Bit of background : I've been looking to change from a van to the car version for a while now but as a van owner I've always preferred the two rear doors for practicality and looks ( in my opinion ) but never got to see any for sale, until yesterday when I stumbled across the Berlingo " First "  model which set me alight somewhat - the MK2 body that I prefer plus rear doors. Unfortunately they have the 75 Hdi engine and I would prefer the 92 Hdi hence the reason for my post.

All pertinent information welcomed ...... by the way I have tried to search the Forum for info but I don't find the search function all that effective, sorry.
