Van rear door lock question
#1
Hello all...
I had the battery disconnected for a couple of days... other issues..
The central locking works open and close but when the rear doors are open the central locking will still lock. I am using the key in the drivers door lock as I have never had a key fob so I assume the van hasn't got remote central locking..

This has only been like this since reconnecting the battery and waiting for the BSI to set.. I know that holding the dash button in will set the doors to lock when over 5mph, is there a way of setting the central locking so it will not activate if one of the doors is open like it did before.

The other possibility is a faulty rear door micro switch but when I took the lock out I found only two wires going to the solenoid and all the other wires tied back,, the van doesn't have rear wash wipe. Is there a micro switch somewhere ? How does the loading light know the door is open / closed ?

  Any ideas ?

OK, forget about the disconnected battery, I'm thinking the problem is with a micro switch, the BSI thinks the back doors are closed ? Where is the microswitch for the back doors in a van ? is it in the door ( bottom catch ) or in the black metal striker think mounted on the rear slam panel / floor ?
Does anyone have the part number ?
