Exhaust mounts
#11
The eBay link was just to show the type of mount.
And yeah, there's a lot of crappy ones one the market.
Luckily, they're mostly standarddised so many parts stores have them in stock, so that you can see them before buying.
I find that a smear of dishwashing liquid in the holes help the rubbers go on pretty easily.

I also give them a dash of silicone spray(the same you use on rubber door seals) every year, just on the off chance that it'll help them last longer.

The rubber mounts on my 'lingo have a flat cord bound around them, it is part of the mount and not a bodge. I bought some mounts but didn't like the quality so I went to Citroen, paid through the nose and received the same 'cheap' looking rubber mounts so it seems to me Citroen don't supply the  mounts with a cord around as a part...
I recon if the exhaust is aligned the weight would be even along the length so I usually spend time getting the exhaust right before I tighten the clamps..

I have just fitted a new exhaust and found the centre pipe about 2 inches too short.  I ordered by part number and the part numbers I got from the Citroen parts cat so they are right.. Any ideas on how to join the pipes together ?

These are available - exhaust centres also may have them for fitting repair sections. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Exhaust-Pipe-C...XQWzNSf7us
