problems with door open light and central locking

just bought a second hand berlingo multispace 2001 ( y reg ) for work and i have a problem, 

The Door open warning light stays on when driving and beeps when indicating right but not left, 

central locking then opens straight away when trying to lock vehicle (im assuming because its saying there is a door open some where) 

obviously there is a sensor or something some where which isn't working, can any one help with some advise how to fix please? i dont even know which door it is that its saying is open, (any idea how you find that out?)

Hi adam welcome to the forum. it sounds like you have a sticking door lock or switch. There is a module that controls the system and I think its down on the panel by the throttle pedal. Check for broken or frayed wires going through the door jams to. You have an M49 model so look at problems with them as your wiring system is different from the later 2002 models.
