Gearbox Droning noise
#1
Hi there

First post as I'm a fairly new owner of a 1.4 Berlingo (Y Reg) with 104000 on the clock. It has developed a sort of droning/whining noise when in gear and being driven. It's not there in first gear when pulling away but as the speed increases in 2nd - 5th its more pronounced. As soon as the clutch is pushed in the noise disappears. Also the gear stick is fairly loose and moves around. There is no obvious vibration when driving or any difficulty selecting any gear. Any thoughts?

Cheers

Hi again

It's been to the garage and the problem is solved........it needs a replacement gearbox. Cheers anyway.
