Driver's seat is sagging. I think the previous owner was perhaps somewhat large in the derriere department. I expect any seat from another 2002 model is going to be in a similar state so is it possible to fit a seat from a later model?

If you have an M59 model 2002 to 2008 any seat should just bolt straight in.

The seats are only held in with 4 bolts I think, get yourself down a local breakers and compare the mountings. Watch out for seatbelt pretensioners and side airbags and take the necessary precautions. You could try a local furniture or car re trimmers if its just the base and get that fixed cheaply. Just done a quick search and there may be a difference between the m49 and m59. Look on your m49 apparently your seat rails may bolt to the side sill and on m59 they bolt straight to the floor pan. You may be able to swap or alter the rails to make it fit.
