Immobiliser problem?

Hi all.

I'm new to Berlingos and in dire need of your help.

I'm not sure if it's my key, the ignition barrel or the Immobiliser, but when I insert my key in the ignition, the barrel won't turn.

It was ok a few days ago.

Any ideas?

Have you tried moving steering wheel left & right while trying to turn key?

Just gave it a go and now it works.  Big Grin

Did you have the wheels on hard lock as it tends to put strain on the rack and unless you wiggle the steering wheel its hard to get the lock off. I lost count of the times I had to go out to my ex mother in law as she would park it with wheels turned then couldn't get the steering lock off when she returned.

Some silicone spray down the barrel mite help to keep it free .

Nah I didn't. I parked it straight, which is why it had me worried.
It's my first van i'm gradually getting used to it. I'm only used to having 70's fords so Berlingo's are little unfamiliar to me.

All sorted now anyway so thanks for the helps guys. phew Big Grin

1970's Fords ..... I expect you've had the full rust experience then ..... won't get that with a Berlingo ... yippee !!!!!!
